Review Comments: I did the partial mash and this kit was incredible. Even my non beer nerd and BMC friends loved it. I fermented between 74-78 which was nice for a late summer season beer. didn't have to break out the swamp cooler. I started drinking it as soon as I could after secondary fermentation and kegging and it was awesome. But if you can wait a couple weeks it does indeed get better with a little aging. Buy this kit you won't regret it.

Review Comments: This turned out great. I finished my last one a couple days ago. Don't get discouraged during bottling if what you taste is extremely unbalanced and very tart. It will all smooth out during conditioning. I brought some of these to a party, and everybody loved them.

Review Comments: I bought this kit because I wanted a "spice" beer something to enjoy on a fall day with body and flavor. Dave told me about this one so I examined the packet, There is orange peels in it and some other goodies so I thought "why not" I made the kit and it made the house smell good an almost cider smell when brewing it wasnt too dark kind of a shade of golden brown. The kit was easy to make and I kegged this one to age for 2 weeks. I put it on tap and I was supprised how you can taste the spices and the orange in the finish of the beer. I liked this kit quite a bit for me its a good getting ready for fall beer not to heavy or to light but just the right amount of flavor to enjoy on an evening while you watch the news on tv in the evening. I will make this kit again. Jerry from Cleveland

Review Comments: I have tried several different Saison recipes but this one is the best so far . . . one of the best I have brewed! Everyone loves it. I concur with the advice about stuck fermentation and temperature. I ended up placing mine in a dark closet in the low to mid-80s. Finally finished after two more weeks. I threw a second batch on the first yeast cake and added a little more of everything. Crazy fermentation that produced stronger flavor and and slightly higher alcohol content.

Review Comments: If you get the wyeast 3724, research fermentation temps. I know HG's recipe says 66-76, but I had to kick mine up to 80 degrees because my fermentation stalled at 1.030 after a week. Numerous posts across many forums says the saison 3724 yeast can handle higher temps much better, and that it's common for 3724 to stall at 1.030. Kick it up to 80+ if you hit the 1.030 wall.

Review Comments: I bought this kit to brew for my wife and she loves it! I spiced it up a little bit by adding some grains of paradise, coriander, crystallized ginger and 3lbs of apricots. Absolutely the best beer I've brewed by far!! I will definitely be buying this one again!
