The chart below shows how to configure your modular BrewEasy system. Be sure to contact High Gravity for details. Note that Blichmann has only included their gas fired system - the electric version is coming soon.
The core of the system is two BoilerMaker pots and an adapter lid kit. The system sizes are for a finished batch size of 5, 10, or 20 gal. Currently they are offering a gas fired version only (propane or natural gas) but will have an electric heated version soon.
The following components are required for your system. If you already own one or more components you'll want to buy just what you need. If you're just getting started there is a fully bundled system of all sizes. Talk to High Gravity for details.
The following describes what you'll need. For more details be sure to download our BrewEasy manual on the manual tab of this page.
REQUIRED - BoilerMaker BREW POTS
The BrewEasy requires two Blichmann Engineering BoilerMaker pots. The adapter lids and tubing are not designed to accommodate other manufacturers pots. The upper pot is the mash tun and the lower pot is the boil kettle. Use the following chart to confirm that you have the correct size pots. You'll also need a false bottom for your mash tun.
|Batch Size ||Mash Tun (upper pot) ||Boil Kettle (lower pot) |
|5 gal (19 L) ||7.5 gal ||10 gal |
|10 gal (38 L) ||15 gal ||20 gal |
|20 gal (76 L) ||30 gal ||30 gal |
REQUIRED - False Bottom
Select the size to match your mash tun as per chart above
REQUIRED - ADAPTER LID KIT
This is the heart of the system and includes the special lid that allows the pots to be stacked and the wort drain tube installed. It includes the lid, an AutoSparge level and flow control system, a drain tube with flow orifice kit, and all the misc. fittings, silicone hose, and QuickConnector fittings you'll need to get up and running.
REQUIRED - HEAT SOURCE
For now Blichmann only offers the TopTier burner for the BrewEasy system. But shortly you'll be able to choose an electric heated version too.
REQUIRED - PUMP
A single pump is required to operate your BrewEasy brewing system. Blichmann's TOWER of POWER control systems can be purchased with a pump, or you can purchase the pump through High Gravity if you do not currently own one.
Several optional items are available to enhance your system such as control systems, carts and more. Keep reading.
OPTIONAL - TOWER of POWER TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER & LTE OR FULL TOWER STAND
Blichmann Engineering offers the TOWER of POWER temperature controller in both gas (propane and natural gas) and electric heater versions coming soon. While automated control is not required for operation, it does greatly simplify control of mashing temperatures and offers significantly more accuracy and repeatability than can be achieved manually. Blichmann offers two convenient stands for your controller and accessories. The compact size TOWER of POWER LTE features built in GFCI protection, a power receptical, pump mount, pump switch, and optional pump, optional Therminator chiller and mount, sensor fitting and flow throttling valve. The full TOWER adds wort sampling, stuck mash alarm, and visual flow meter.
OPTIONAL - KettleKart
The KettleKart adds mobility to your BrewEasytm brewing system. One of the many features of this system is its compact nature. Use the KettleKart to tuck your system out of the way between brew days. A parts and assembly manual is included with the product.
