Heat Exchanger for HLT

This copper heat exchanger is constructed of 25 ft of 3/8 in tubing.  It is easily installed in the lid of the hot liquor tank by inserting the ends into the compression fittings and tightening the compression nut. 

Copper is a superior heat conductor to stainless steel.  A 25 ft coil suspended in the HLT is an excellent heat source for your mash tun.  All you need to do is pump the wort through it.
